Equilibrium is inspired by the connection of two people, and wanting to have a talisman to protect them. The two patinated bronze arcs embody two dynamic lives coming together and creating an energy captured by the Aquamarine sphere suspended between the two forms. The forms become connected by lines that we create, giving them structure and keeping them together as they move forward. The outer offset circles of stainless steel represent the “Naja” a symbol that has been used by cultures around the world as a protective amulet to ward off “ the evil eye” giving this sculpture beauty, meaning and a purpose. Equilibrium is hand formed, cut , forged and welded from bronze and stainless steel. The bronze is patinated with red to embody passion and fire.
